No file storage

In the Studio, Batch Scrubber and browser extension, your images and videos are never uploaded — processing happens on your device and files exist only in browser memory. The optional Agency REST API is the exception: you send a file to it deliberately, it is processed in memory and returned, and it is never written to disk or retained.

No tracking or analytics

We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or behavioural profiling anywhere on this site. There is no analytics script of any kind — not a privacy-preserving one either. The only usage figures we hold are the cleaning counters attached to your own account, which exist to enforce your plan quota.

Account data

If you create an account, we store your email address, hashed password, and subscription status. We never share this with third parties. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions only. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party cookie networks.

Data retention

Processing history entries (filenames, timestamps, operation type) are stored only in your browser's local storage — not our servers. This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

We use Paddle as our merchant of record for payment processing. Paddle collects and handles your card details on its own checkout, under its privacy policy — they never reach our servers. We receive only the billing status and plan we need to run your subscription.

1. Information we collect

When you use our free tools without an account, we collect no personal information. If you create an account, we collect: your email address, a scrypt hash of your password, and your subscription plan. We never see or store your card details — Paddle acts as merchant of record and handles payment processing, so card data is collected by Paddle and never reaches our servers.

2. How we use information

Your email is used solely for: account authentication, password reset, and important product updates (you may unsubscribe at any time). We never use your email for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. Local processing

In the web Studio, the Batch Scrubber and the browser extension, all file processing (watermark removal, metadata scrubbing, C2PA stripping) is performed within your browser. Files are loaded into browser memory only and are garbage collected after processing; no file data is transmitted to PurifyAI servers. One exception applies: if you choose to use the Agency REST API, you are uploading the file to our server by design. It is processed in memory and returned in the response, never written to disk and never retained.

4. Browser local storage

We use browser localStorage to save your tool preferences and processing history (filenames and timestamps only). This data is stored on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time via your browser settings.

5. Cookies

We use one session cookie for authentication when you are logged in. It is cleared when you log out, expires after 12 hours of inactivity, and expires absolutely 14 days after sign-in regardless of activity. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site analytics.

6. Data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@purifyai.app or using the account deletion feature in your account settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible, and we process all requests within 30 days.
